Am really torn about going. It is my first anniversary since losing my Mum so not sure what state I will be in. I mentioned it to my sister who asked me not to leave her alone that day. I really don't know what to do.

Hi, I need to let you know I won't make the Leeds meet. It will be one year on 1st November that George died and the build up to it is affecting me in all the ways I've read about on here and heard from others in the support group I go to.
So my head is all over the place at times and not in the right place for meeting up.
I would like to come to the Oxford meet next May though.
( I have planned out the day for 1 November as I've seen others recommend and do on this site and in the group, so that's helping)
Hope it's a good day for those who go to Leeds.

I won't be able to come to Leeds. Can't really leave Angel for long at the moment and she has to be carried most of the time as she's not had all her injections yet and little legs not used to walking yet. Hope you all have a great time. Penny x

Norma....I am supposed to be leaving Lancaster for Inverness on Saturday the 1st Oct as stated in earlier post, have you any idea of the number of people that will be at the meet in Leeds ?. I shall certainly try and come along to the Oxford meet next year. However, I would like to come to the Leeds meetup, so if I did decide to come, I'm thinking along the lines of booking an extra night in a premier Inn for the Saturday night and continue up to Inverness on the Sunday.

Losing one day of my weeks holiday in Scotland is no big deal, it's just one day lost and a extra night in Premier Inn, a small price to pay for the pleasure of meeting some of you, my daughter keeps telling me to get out there and socialise more... so this is me trying to do just that...

Hi Brian thats great news you are more than welcome i promise you won't regret it, there is about 11 of us meeting and you wont be the only man We will meet at The White Rose Cafe/Bar in the station near the entrance, where we will wait until 10.45. We then plan to go to Hotel Chocolate (opposite Yates's on the corner of Boar Lane/Albion St) and will remain there until 12 noon. Thank you Norma, I'll leave Lancaster fairly early so should be there in plenty of time, just need to do some online research to find parking, and print off a map of the city centre. Only visited Leeds once about 20yrs years ago but it was only a couple hours and don't remember much about it. Hopefully the satnav will get me within walking distance. I look forward to meeting you all.

Just about to book an extra night in Premier Inn somewhere for Saturday night.
