I lost my world

Hello my name is Graham and I lost my world, spent many years caring for my partner due to illness and had a very full life with caring, family life and work. I lost her 2 weeks ago and now feel empty, lost and alone.

Hi Graham sending you a warm welcome.I found this site after losing my husband within months of becoming an empty nester
I do understand what you mean when you say you lost your world I felt like I had no purpose in life having been in a caring role for most of my adult life and having no one left to care for..Over time you can start to build around the crater your world fell into  the hole is always there but the crater starts to fill a bit and the sides green up and cover the black you see now.
