I lost my beautiful partner on 7th May. I am so heartbroken. he was my world, my life. He passed away so suddenly during the night. I found him on the floor and tried desperately to save him, but it was too late. I feel so alone and can't even leave my bed. We were inseparable. We ran a business together, lived and socialised together. I know nothing out side my life with Steve. Please tell me it will get better. X

At the moment it dorsnt seem as if it will get easier, but belueve me it does, small steps sometimes feels one step forward two back but you will get there xx

:hug:It does but it takes a while,not wanting to get out of bed is normal in these early days,as Norma says its a case of tiny steps.We will be here as long as you need us to be.Sometimes just writing things down helps.

Thank you for your reply. Its comforting to know people understand what I'm going through. I feel so incredibly lonely. I do have support from my daughters. One of them have stayed the night with me since my Steve passed away. I just can't process what has happened, he was so fit and not unwell at all. We had just returned from a break in Spain. We were planning to semi retire out there this year. I'm so heartbroken. My life as just stopped. I can't function at all. Life is so cruel.

Welcome Geri. Although very sorry you have needed to find a forum like ours.
Please be kind to yourself and not expect too much for a while yet. All you can do at the moment is get through a minute at a time.
Sending massive hugs. Keep posting on here and tell us more about your Steve when you feel ready.
