Title: Re: New user lost my mum
Post by: Karena on April 28, 2016, 06:55:40 PM
Hi and welcome.what you are going through now is not unusual,it is possible to be surrounded by people and still be lonely, sometimes even more so because you become more acutely aware of their absence from a group, and wanting to just stay home and to not bother talking is part of that too.
When my mum died there was no where like this I came here after losing my husband, but there have been times even 11 years on when I miss her intensely.

Hi cath welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your mum.

Grief is a lonely journey Even when we have people around us the one we most want to talk to isn't there anymore and this can highlight their absence. Some of the times I have felt at my worst is when the family are trying to carry on like things are normal which, of course, they aren't.

I wish you the strength to get through this slump.
