Intoducing myself to the group
« on: June 28, 2020, 06:10:25 PM »
I recently lost my Gran.  She was like a 2nd Mother to me. My Mum and Dad worked I was young and it was my Gran who supported me. I am her only grandchild and an only child. I found it difficult to see my strong and Gran slowly disappear and turn into a frail elderly lady. She in her nineties when she died but it has affected my greatly.

Sending you a hug. I found it hard to see my relatives becoming older and frail too

Depending on how you feel about photos at the moment (some people find them comforting although some find them hard for a while), it may help to get older photos out, and bring to mind all those wonderful memories. Just like a book, we are so much more than the full stop at the end, we can remember all the vitality they had. I find it comforting to look at photos of when my grandparents were young, the happiness in their faces.
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Hold on in there xx
