Title: New here 👋 lost my Dad 3 years ago
Post by: KarlaD22 on October 09, 2019, 07:48:25 PM
Hi I'm Karla. I'm 28 and I have come here because I am feeling lonely and need someone to talk to about all the emotions I've got. My Dad passed away 19/10/2016 so it's coming up to the 3 year anniversary

Hi Karla,
I am new here myself but have already received so much love and support, so welcome although I am truely sorry that you have lost your dad.
Some other, much wiser!, people will be along in a bit who will offer you so much advice and support. But for now know that you are not alone, I am thinking of you and can share on here anytime. Take care of yourself ♥

Welcome, Karla.  Two years today since I lost my mum and it's been just as hard as last year. Not sure we ever really get used to it. Thinking of you.  :hearts:

18 months since I lost my best friend and my daddy. I’ve been waiting for the day that I “get over it” but it’s just dawning on me that I never will.

Incredibly 6 years have passed since I lost my dad. I think of him daily, but I can assure you it becomes easier to cope. It gradually improves - sometimes you may not feel you're making progress, but if you think back to the first day you're making little steps forward in coping each day  :hearts:
