Hello all,

I haven't posted here for a while now but I have been lurking. I've lost track of the number of times that I've started a reply and then felt overwhelmed and unable to go on, not just by my own but everyone else's grief. I'm thinking of everyone who is in the same/similar position to me and just wanted to say hello to everyone and send a group

I know what you mean about the forum sometimes being overwhelming. Each new poster is another person on the same journey as us and we understand only too well how difficult it is for them. I have also typed replies and had to stop as the words just don't seem right.

What I can say is that you were a great help to me in the early days of my loss and I really appreciate that.

Cheers Hubby - yes we know what it's like to lose our life partner. I'm at a stage now where I am trying to envisage a future for myself and it's still really hard to do that.

When I read the first posts from new members, although I want to help, I know that nothing can. I end up not only feeling my grief flooding back over me but also feeling inadequate as well  .

I think you do help both of you the whole ethos of the forum is mutual support.
If you don't know what to say and I know sometimes I don't either,then just a virtual hug can make a difference,just an acknowledge ment that someone has read your story and empathises with the situation makes a difference.
