 hang on in there -it will fade some days will be better than others - hang on to the little moments in those days store them up and keep them in your mind and then think of them when the worst ones really hit hard.

Yes Karena I get what you are saying. In a way, if I can remember that not all days are as bad as some. But some days I still cry on and off all day, it's just part of grieving I guess, it is all about missing my wonderful husband. It's his fault for being so nice and kind and sweet. Got to blame someone. Thanks for caring.

:hug:its ok to cry - i still do sometimes - today is work xmas dinner i am the only one not with a partner - its hard and it doesnt get better, not this one -but it will pass it is just one afternoon of painting on the smile and pretending its ok - i have put pink streaks in my hair to remind me to do that (he once dyed his beard pink for charity and it didnt come out for months  )

Hi Karena, Yes that sounds a bit difficult, being surrounded by couples. Hopefully you will find it okay. I know one thing I will always find difficult is eating meals on my own. I haven't done that since I was about 21 and it feels very very strange indeed. Sometimes things like the pink hilights can work in making you feel Christmassy and it shows you are 'joining in the fun'.

Karena I have never seen a pink beard. Just wondered how the Christmas dinner went. Okay I hope.

Thanks Emz. I went for a nice stroll by the canal today. It does help to get out of the house and it was sunny today.

Nature and wildlife do help so much. On my dog walk today walked past a garden and in the tree there was a robin singing so beautifully, cant help but have a smile
