I don't know how anyone can be so cruel. You must be very strong to be able to cope with it. I expect your Ruth would be furious! I know i am on your behalf! A faceless coward who likes to upset people is all they can be. So sorry this is happening to you.

What is wrong with some people???
Is there a way to report it through Facebook? Surely this is harassment and they must be able to track the IP address.  Perhaps have a chat with the police on advice how to catch/stop them?

It does feel nice to be able to help someone else   i was at an animal park the other day watching a wolverine and a couple came up alongside me, the bloke guessed wolf, his girlfriend guessed bear so I helped them out and told them it was a wolverine (it was a little obscured where it was) - not sure if they appreciated it as they didnt say anything!  :undecided:

maybe they didnt know about wolverines and though you made it up.

I once did that at tate modern - this woman was getting on my nerves constantly stepping in front of me and repeating anything i said about a picture to her companion as though she thought i had any knowledge i was just reading the brochure - we walked into one room and it seemed to be just everyday household equipment covered in plaster of paris bandages but it did include a wheel barrow and a ladder - out of the window across the river i spotted a builders yard with stuff lying around and  this woman is standing in front of me - yet again - and  i turned to my friend and said "clearly the artist has taken his detail from the light reflections he has seen in the yard opposite and used them in such a way as to make a statment about the starkness and coldness of the life of a builders labourer, which he has to endure in order to make a living in a city full of capitalists, the plaster banadages being indicative of the manner in which he is enslaved and forced to deny his socialist leanings "  (totally made up in a totally pretentious voice)
then stood back as she repeated that as well

talking about trying to be nice and getting mixed reactions i had a knock on the door last night - this guy said he was doing a survey on radio listening and i said i dont really listen to radio we have very limited signal up here -but he said thats ok its for non radio listeners too -so i am stood in the pitch dark - he has a lanyard but i cant see what it says and anyone can get a lanyard and i,m waiting for questions but he says he has to come in and put my answers on his laptop but it will only take about ten mintes - at which point i am getting a bit suspicious - even more so when he says it also involves listening to radio over the next week then him coming back - even though i had pointed out there is no signal - so i said no i didnt think it was for me -i wasnt rude i said sorry -and off he went.
So thinking about older people etc and my suspicions, i decided if i didnt say anything and some-one got mugged i would feel guilty so i i posted on the community website of the next town, knowing a few people up here are on there and could pass it on to others i dont know - some people agreed with me that i did the right thing not leting him in, but then some-one chimed up it is genuine he came to mine last summer - well thats fine in summer its light and maybe i would have reacted differently if i,m honest -but then some-one else piped up why do people have to be suspicious all the time he was just doing his job - i stopped reading after that - you cant do right for doing wrong as my mum used to say.

havnt heard of Yorkshire wildlife park but the deep is at hull - never been -there is a lake disrict wildlife park but there have been a few issues with it they were threatening closure last time i heard anything - there was one near Aviemore when i was a kid we went there on a school ski-ing trip because the ski slopes were closed for a day due to the lovely weather - i think its the one time i have seen a wild cat (but i have seen plenty who were just angry)

no peep holes chains or cameras here (how bad does that sound) - to be fair i dont really need them  -theyre more likely to go for gortex coats left in cars, or farm vehicles or sheep (sadly) than anything else - none of which i have. No-one ever gets my bank details - i have some Scottish ancestry and was brought up in Yorkshire.

There is a cave/pothole where i used to live (no not in the cave in the neaby village) but they found evidence of some kind of burial ritual - human remains in a sitting position - which was how they used to bury humans many years ago so not necessarilly sinister but there were also bear and wolverine skulls - they think maybe it was symbolic being the tomb of some-one who was a great hunter but no-one is too sure. But anyway they are not something we normally associate with roaming the land this far down - but then again their greatest predators were wolves and we had those so its feasable - they have some in the highland wldlife par - which is assume is the Aviemore one. There was a cracking sea life place at Oban - but it closed at the end of last year which is a massive shame as they had a lot of rescued critters who were rehabilitated then released (not wolverines though)
You know what Brian i,m sure you were in your thirties last year, i wish i had your ability to age in the other direction.

I can assure you i hvnt been watching anything like that -although it seems you know whatever it is, is on channel 4.

No stump cross is for wimps - its on top of Elbolton - so the row of  hills at the back of stump cross you can see across the valley as you drive towards Grassington from Pately its the fifth hill (i think) but you can only access it via a rope ladder - and with an organised group - its covered by a padlocked metal cover like a drain cover - which might also tell you how tiny the hole you have to squeeze into is - the cave is big but its not good for access and definitely not for me - i only ever went caving once - never again.

I did see on the Kruger community website some-one ask if they allowed motor bikes in, they wanted to do it and wild camp as part of an africa tour - seriousely deranged - you would imagine  it was a wind up but apparently not.

its a very difficult place is za, not surpsisngly given its history which is still relatively recent, but there is a lot of corruption and hatred stirring still going on as well.

It is also stunningly beautiful. and the vast majority of people are very friendly and helpful - As a visitor you just need to be careful and keep your wits about you -dont go into the townships at night dont walk round flashing your jewellry or camera of i phone - etc - there are plenty of places over here you might be better not doing that either
Mind you in my favourite place - st Lucia - you dont wonder round at night unless you are in fenced grounds for very different reasons -you might get mugged by a hippo - they hang around in the river all day then come out looking for fresh grass - they are great for cutting the lawn - do a really good job overnight - environmentally friendly as well - no petrol mowers, and no plastic bags of manure they even spread it for you.  but theyre not exactly friendly and a lot faster on their feet than they look. The beaches are stunning - bull sharks are stunning too - but i wouldnt advise swimming with them - and there might be the odd crocodile in the river so stick to swimming pools at high tide - but the rock pools are pretty big  and generally shark free except for the little ones -  and if you snorkel - or just stick your head under the water wearing goggles also full of stunning  wildlife
(watch for stone fish and electric eels though ) - and the one and only time i have set eyes on a leopard was when i was looking for turtles - it was in the sand dunes on the way out -I really cant work out why its my favourite place

I ordered a bad of bedding for the partridge/ future chickens  - it is literally the size of a bail of hay -i think it may last a while -
