Title: How long?
Post by: dizzylizzy on December 09, 2016, 08:27:56 PM
My toddler son and my mum had an amazing bond. He misses her so much and I find it comforting in a way that for now he remembers because the thought of him forgetting torments me, as I've already shared with you.

Today, quite out of the blue he says to me while we are walking to the library...mum, how long do people die for because I really wish granny could come back today! Oh my days...sometimes it just takes your breathe away.

Out of the mouths of babes aye? What I love about the younger ones is that there is no embarrassment- they say it as it is. I had to explain to a student at school that I had lost my husband in May and there wasn't that silence of embarrassment that you get with adults while they think of something to say. She just said 'Oh what did he die of?'
