My gorgeous mum died on May 3rd and now that the funeral is over I can't keep myself together but need to as have 3 kids and a business to run. Am really struggling and can't sleep at night but crawling back to bed in daytime. The depth of sadness and disbelief is totally overwhelming

Hi Pippa.
So sorry for the loss of your mum.
I know you are overwhelmed. Hope you find some comfort from interacting with those who have also lost people they loved.

Hi PippaL
Many of us find the time after the funeral to be harder than the initial loss. The shock is wearing off, there are no arrangements keeping us occupied and the phone calls and friends calling drops off. Just getting through each day is a struggle.
Stay strong and things will slowly get more bearable.

My heart goes out to you. I lost my mum on the 15th April. I had read here that it often got worse after the funeral but I still wasn't prepared to feel how I still do. Like someone else said, their are no arrangements to be made now although still things that need to be sorted out. It almost felt to me as if I had gone back to feeling numb then the pain seemed to really hit. I have 5 children still at home so I know what you mean about needing to carry on but I am also finding it so hard. Wish I could say something to make you feel better but I know that's just not possible right now so all I will say is be kind to yourself
