Nostalgia
« on: June 03, 2017, 05:56:29 PM »
Not been on the forum for a while.  It is now three months since Simon died (have stopped counting it in weeks now).

I was talking to two of my girlfriends after spin this morning who were talking about how hopeless their partners are with their mobile phones (this is not a generalisation about all men I might add).  We then got on to the time when Simon had left his phone switched off in the boot of the car for days on end (I will not bore you all with the details of this story).  It was the first time I had spoken about Simon (indeed we all had) with an air of nostalgia and a smile on my face.

Today I felt was a notable day in my journey and I would just like to share it with everyone on here.

:hug:I think its a big step when you can have those conversations and good mates who are happy to have them with you.So often people are afraid of them, either treading on eggshells or move to a different topic, when we want to share that everyday kind of stuff about our loved one.
