Welcome here Patrick,,,yes we all know about the sleepless nights and how long it takes for dawn to break some nights.

Please make a post in the support forum telling us again for those who are new here about your bereavement and maybe we can help by chatting about your loss and give you some much needed support by the sound of it.

Jude M:
Welcome Patrick, so sorry for your loss
For me when Paul went for the first year I slept like a log, soon as my head hit the pillow I was gone.
Then i had nearly 2 years of getting to sleep and failing,  since January I have taken up walking, this last fortnight going to a gym and today jogged round my local park with my dog Pip for company. Think with all this exercise it is making me tired and helping me to drift off without counting sheep.

Hello June M,
I recently went back to work for the first time since my wife died, I do quite a physical job and l was hoping that I would be so tired l would drop off immediately. But I'm still
lying around waiting, I'm happy these days if I get 3 or 4 hours.
