I’ve actually got a guy coming tomorrow to start a training programme, I’m worried that these teething problems if not addressed could lead to bigger problems later on. I know he’s only been with me a few days but I want to do the best I can for him, I’m sure as you say he’ll settle down eventually but I think it will give me more confidence initially to have some one on one training that we can start now rather than wait for him to have all his jabs and me not to be able to manage him another three or four weeks down the line. I feel I need the training more than him!! He’s eight weeks old at the moment. I know with German shepherd dogs you need to start the training early, he’ll get plenty of socialisation as well especially after his jabs, I’m going to take him out in Harry’s old buggy later this week and we’ll do a bit then. Without a car I’m limited to getting to places for puppy classes, there is one but they’re in mid cycle and they’re not doing anything more until after Christmas, well I don’t want to wait that long. He can go to puppy day care one day a week once he’s had his jabs , that will help him socialise as well.
